The food taste better than I thought. I expected an average ok meal for its low price but it was really good and packaged well

I first went here in 2009 when it first opened and I was visiting from San Francisco where I had a favorite "best" Thai Food spot back home and this place actually stole my heart away and I remember hoping it would last. Restaurants come and go in NYC and this place has remained and I couldn't be happier! Best Thai Food in NYC! I've lived in the West Village now since I moved here in 2010 and this is my Thai spot and every single friend I've ever taken here ended up falling in love with their food too!

I can't believe this place has no reviews! I've been eating here for the last five years. The food is always delicious, and they have far and away the BEST lunch special in the area. Entree, appetizer, salad, and drink for $9. That's crazy. The curry, drunken spicy noodles, and crab rangoon are my jam. The Thai iced tea is also delicious, but that may be available for eat-in only. I'm less familiar with their dinner options, but they do not skimp on their lunch special.

Have ordered from Tu many times. Usually a soup & a noodle dish.

In this instance, delivery was quick, but food quality was inconsistent. We ordered the softshell crab/ green apple salad (crab was VERY fishy tasting), curry puffs (excellent), beef pad thai (beef was very tough), & the lychee duck (unrecognizable as duck -- very tough, but loved the red curry sauce, lychees & pineapples).

I got the Drunken Spicy noodles Lunch Special. It comes with choice of meat, appetizer (I prefer he dumplings). And a salad and drink. The salad isn't that great in my opinion, the sauce is a little like peanut butter not sure what kind. The noodles is the main course it's very good never any complaints. Medium spicy is good enough for me.

I've order from Tue Thai Food over 10 times now and the food has always come before the ETA. I didn't find the food to be too spicy. I always order the Pad Thai and although it's not the best I've ever eaten, it is good enough for delivery. What I really like is that they have the healthy salmon dish option for a really healthy meal.
